What is psychodynamic counselling?

"Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate." - Carl Jung

People seek counselling for all sorts of different reasons, but often it is because they need a listening ear, from someone independent who is non-judgemental and supportive.  Counselling is a collaborative process.  It provides you with an opportunity and safe space to meet regularly with an experienced counsellor to think about and discuss issues in confidence without fear of judgement.

Our counselling is based on listening, reflecting and making links between past events and present difficulties, in the belief that by looking at our past experiences and how they affect us, we can better understand how we react and behave in the present moment.

We provide a safe, confidential, calm and supportive space to enable you to think about what has happened, about your life, about who you are, and to enable grieving, healing, change and moving forward to take place, when you are ready.

"I needed a sounding-board to hear my thoughts out loud. The questions asked helped me to understand my own issues rather than think in someone else's way."
